Hold on to your blazers Gleeks, Grant Gustin just walked back into our lives. Kevin McHale Instagrammed the above photo today, labeling the pair of cozy friends as #McGustin. We all remember how Grant’s Sebastian Smythe nearly came between our favorite lovebirds in season 3, but last we heard from the devilishly cute Warbler, he seemed to be on the verge of changing his malicious ways following Karofsky’s attempted suicide. Does this mean no more rock salt slushies?
Since Grant lost out on the role of Finnick Odair (I still haven’t recovered), looks like his schedule is free to rejoin the Warblers for longer than it takes to belt out a One Direction number. So what do the Dalton Academy boys have up their sleeve this year (or technically, this half of the McKinley/NYADA school year)? Have they changed their scandalous ways? Do they have a new leader, one who won’t pressure them into steroid use or bitter duels? (Although I must admit, Smooth Criminal still gives me chills.)
I’ll be a Klainer ’til death do us part, but a tiny part of me is still hoping for some Blaine/Sebastian romance. Juuust a little bit. Unfortunately, we can’t say that possibility lies in season 5’s future until we see what happens to that ring Blaine was preparing to whip out during the Schuesters’ “wedding reception.” Talk about your finale cliffhangers…
Let’s hear from some Sebastian lovers! I know I’m not the only one.
What do you hope to see happen with the Warblers in season 5?
Season 5 of Glee premieres September 26 at 9 on FOX.
